What’s moving

New releases breaking out, games climbing and falling, review storms and comebacks, 1.0 launches pulling players back, and the gap between playing and watching. Not the same ten names every day.

Collecting history

The 7-day change compares two full weeks of daily averages, so it appears from 9 November 2026. Until then, use the 24-hour view.

New & breaking out

Released in the last 60 days, by players right now.

Players now as a share of the game’s 24-hour peak — a stand-in until the 24-hour change exists.

Average concurrent Steam players per month; Sep 2026 is the last complete month. Back from the dead: 1,000+ players on average. Best month ever: 500+.

Steam reviews in the last complete month (four weeks for games under two years old) against the three months before; at least 100 recent reviews. Reviews are a sign of interest, not a player count.

Comebacks & 1.0 launches

Games that left early access in the last six months, and the crowd they have now.

Waking up: last complete month at least twice the year before, while that year stayed under a quarter of the game’s busiest month. Back in favour: positive share up 10+ points from under 70%, with 200+ reviews on each side.

Steam players only: games mostly played through their own launcher look more “watched” here than they are.
