Privacy notice

Last updated 26 October 2026 · Magyar változat

This notice explains how PixelKrypt (pixelkrypt.com, "we") handles visitors' personal data. We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, 2016/679/EU) and the applicable Hungarian law. PixelKrypt has no user accounts, no advertising and no analytics.

2. What we process and why

Server logs

To keep the site secure and to fix errors, the systems that serve the site may record technical data for a short time (for example IP address, browser identifier and the time of the request). We do not link this data to any other data about you and keep it only as long as necessary. Our rate limiter also uses the IP address briefly, in memory, to stop abuse.

Saved games, price alerts and reminders

Games you save, the price alerts you set and the release reminders you turn on are stored in your own browser (local storage). They are not sent to us unless you turn on notifications (below). You can delete them on the Saved page or by clearing your browser's site data.

Push notifications (only if you turn them on)

If you allow notifications, your browser gives us a push subscription: a web address issued by your browser's push service and the encryption keys needed to send you a message. We store it together with what you asked to be notified about (the game, your target price or the release date) and your language, so we can tell you when a price drops or a game comes out. Messages are sent encrypted through your browser's push service (for example Google, Mozilla, Apple or Microsoft, depending on your browser); it cannot read their content.

Images from other services

Game art comes directly from the servers of Steam (Valve), IGDB and YouTube. When a page shows these images, your browser connects to those servers, which see your IP address under their own privacy policies.

We do not use cookies. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.

  • Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)): push notifications. You can withdraw it at any time.
  • Legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)): running the site securely, preventing abuse, and answering your messages.

4. Processors and other recipients

  • Hosting provider: serves the site and stores the technical logs and push subscriptions.
  • Your browser's push service: delivers notifications (only if you turned them on).
  • Steam, IGDB, YouTube: deliver the images your browser loads from them.

We do not sell or share personal data with anyone else.

5. How long we keep data

  • Server logs: only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.
  • Push subscriptions: until you turn notifications off, remove all your alerts and reminders, or the push service tells us the subscription is no longer valid.
  • Your emails to us: until the matter is closed.
  • Data in your browser: until you delete it.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask for access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect processing before the withdrawal.

7. Asking us to delete your data

Email info@pixelkrypt.com with the subject "Data deletion request". If it is about notifications, turning them off on the Saved page deletes your subscription immediately. We reply within 30 days at the latest.

8. Complaints

Please contact us first at info@pixelkrypt.com. You can also complain to the supervisory authority:
